Check out my messy montage. I LUBS IT. I pronounced myself the queen of messy sketching. Anyway, thats besides the point, look at my jeans! Quite a few people have done "Best of SL Jeans" posts, but I haven't seen these ones on them yet...hence why I am posting them! They are the light wash low rise jeans from Dutch Touch, and they are one of my definite favs. They aren't coming off for atleast...ehhhhh...3 days. That's my limit of course. Notice the light stone washed texture and the extreme details on the back pockets. Okay...the back pockets won me over...I don't have many jeans in Sl, but when i saw these...I thought to myself, man, those are some really nice pockets. Useless pockets, but whatever. Oh plus my crack is showing. Another plus, because I have a very nice one apparently. Not butt, just the crack......Anyway, check these out, I swear you'll love them. Although I'm not a huge fan of the side-view, they're slightly too flared for me, but from the front and the back, you're good to go.

I can't resist doing this, because it just looks like so much fun :D!
Heres how it works:
1. Go to www.photobucket.com (dont sign in)
2. Type in your answer to the question in the search box.
3. Use only the first page to look for the appropriate answer.
4. Copy the HTML and paste under the question for the answer
What's your name?
What's your relationship status?
What's your favorite color?
What are you listening to right now?
What is your favorite movie?
Where is your dream vacation?
What is your favorite dessert?
One Word to describe yourself?
My eye color is...
Last book you read?
Night or Day?
Oranges or Apples?
Chocolate or Vanilla?
Nice way to end, huh?

How Beautiful She Be!
Ahhhhh mon pauvre petit blog! How I have been ignoring you so! With midterms showering down on me, blogging and shopping had been put on hold for a bit, but no more! Yesterday I logged on to find a Group message from Brutus Martinek (the fabulous photog, no less), showing off her find, GiGi Couture's awesome CHEAP ( I mean, INEXPENSIVE) skins! I'm talking between 25 and 150 lindens! They're all Another Skin mods, but you can hardly tell. So of course I had to buy..um...them all... Well almost. Somewhere around 15. Hah! Anyway my fav is this Marilyn skin, which I find looks a little more Betty Grable. It just makes me look so curious. The eyebrows are just so 30's, how could I not die for them? I've turned into such a skin ho...seriously..someone stop me!

CYPUNK
So today, Instead of a Samurai Katana girl, I'm trying out the CyberPunk Gun girl look. I just want to mention that I don't condone guns in RL, I have never touched one and never want to. But in SL, it does make a mighty fine accessory ( Oh, and you can't actually hurt people, of course).
I got my gun ( or guns, actually, they come in a set of two) from Gangtsa Urban and they're the Anaconda White & Silver model. They come with holsters, and bling options. Also when shopping for Samurai gear I came across this AWESOME mask, called the Scorpion Mask, from Bitter Thorns. The neon lights change colors (I chose pink), and blink on and off. Oh, and this sweet outfit? Obviously I got it at The Abyss! It's called The Odyssey outfit, and I feel mega hoooooottt in this thing. Hot as in sexy as hell!
Bang Bang...he shot me down...Band Bang...I hit the ground..
Btw, In the first pic at the top, I'm about to get run over by a hovercraft! Automated hovercraft dude was piiisssed!

NEON ME PRETTY
If you read Nylon, Vogue or W magazine, you know that the big trend coming for spring 08' is neons and brights! Highlighter yellow, green, orange, fuschia and not to mention blue, are all huge themes in the spring season lines, all either paired with eachother, or basic black. Kelly green (made famous by American Apparel, my zen store) is also still very much en vogue. Since I'm a crazy color fanatic ( if you see me in SL, I'm usually wearing some sort of disco gear, propably a gas mask, and some killer kicks, unless I'm somewhere 'professional') I was psyched to see these brights absolutely everywhere! So I put together three outfits I hope you'll like, just so you can get the gist of what I think is going to be a big trend this season.

GLAM WORLD MAGAZINE LAUNCH EVENT
Today was the launch of the brand spankin' new GLAM magazine, and if you were lucky enough to get an invite to the event, you got to see a hell of a show! Imagine a humongous cascading staircaise, all pristine white, with models seemingly appearing from a misted cloud, slowly making their way down to we, the audience ( quite a bawdy one at that , ;D ). It was done beautifully, not to mention artistically. Among the list of presenters were GHOST,Artilleri,Serene Sensations, Cubic, Muism, Designing Nicky Ree, LeeZu Baxter Designs, Lookr, Paper Couture and of course Minnu Model Skins and Maitreya. Among my favs....not to play favourites...just kidding, I'm totally playing favourites.. were Ghost (Imagine Chanel, minus cream colors, and throw in some Vivienne Westwood shapes), Paper Couture ( Jean Paul Gaultier-ish, or think Marie Antoinette if she lived in 1910) Artlilleri (think Suicide girls rockabilly), and Minnu's new line Cachet (Seemingly right from Janet Jackson's new video "feedback") . I wish, I really really wish that I had photos for all of you, but seemingly my SL wasn't picking up hair, and black triangles were coming out of models' whoopies. I'm sure everyone else will have some great ones up :).
ABOUT THE MAGAZINE
I'm very excited to see this new periodical (will be published monthly). Expect Haute Couture, high standard content. This magazine will represent many new and old designers, all of the upmost quality. And no, it will NOT solely be designers from the Glam world sims, it will showcase all of the best of the SL design world. Enjoy!
To get a copy of the mag, and to read up about GLAM and the event, visit the impressive website.

5L DRESS AT MB DESIGNS
Anyone who knows me well, knows that i LOVE color! Bright, crazy, whatever! This also stems from the fact that I love disco, and am a huggge ABBA fan. So when I saw this dress, i flipped! Especially when the designer, Moanasyrene Boucher told me it was only 5 lindens! Hells yes! I've been wearing it all day now, and let's just say, I've definetly been getting noticed (perhaps it's the *ahem* neon?). It also comes with hotpants (In bottom left corner), which gives it a much more casual look ( I've been wearing it around shopping). So HURRY!! Go get your dress, it will only be up for a few more days!!!
MB Designs
p.s, sorry about the pic quality. I accidentaly saved twice, and if you ever took a graphic course , they always got pissed when you did that! And my pic is proof! darn!

SPOTTED! Phoenix Chapman
Decided to do some shopping today (As if I don't already do it every day) and realized the ONLY good place for sneakers is Armidi. What the eff? Okay, I really like streetwear and am really inspired by english rapper M.I.A, and I can't find ANY cool kicks around this place. Where are the Nike dunks, people? ANYWAY, I ran totally off-topic....Back to Armidi. This place is a virtual fashion spotting powerhouse! So many people I saw with MAD outfits! I couldn't help but take a few pictures, this one here worn by the ever-fabulous Phoenix Chapman, of Be Less Stupid!. I ran smack dab into her, luck of the draw. Paying homage to Armidi, she was wearing the Rio Beleza Wedge Platforms ( That I own in bronze, none the less ;D), Flexi Silk Organza Dress and
The Ginza hair. A fashion Blogger must always look fab, oui? What a sweetheart, too! Oh how small the blogging world is :)

Relax
Crawling around Flikr , as I seem to do quite frequently of late, I've noticed a Sim I hadn't yet visited before. Many ladies had gorgeous pictures from this place, and of course, I had to go! I'm talking about Pan & Agapee Islands- The garden of the afterlife. Among many things, you can lay within a bed of flowers, float among clouds, meditate (whilst being surrounded by inspirational quotes), eye hummingbirds and even play with unicorns! All the while being guided around the sim by a mentor-like Fairy ( in english and japanese!) I suggest whenever you find yourself weary, to come and relax or pray (to whomever it may be :D)..I left this garden feeling happy and calm.

RANT
I've got a bone to pick today, and not with one general person, but with all of us 'fashion bloggers'...We've all likely talked about this at one time or another, but lawd, I need to open my big mouth. So, like many of us, I check out the fashion feeds daily, if not, well, ugh hourly..And let's just say, I'm not exactly checking them out for the written content. Picture skimming. Slurls. Rooting through verbal diarrhea for links. Are these really "reviews"? My bone isn't to pick with the ones who say absolutely nothing, actually, in fact I respect them much more. Why waste time writing stuff no one will read? I'm guilty of the "THIS IS FAB" review. But there is a slight difference in the fact that..well.. I'm not actually reviewing. I bought these items. Everything I've blogged, I've either bought because I actually LIKED. Or I found them in a free box and were outfit 'fillers', lol. There was a post the other day, from a blog that shall remain nameless ( because I really do like this blog..), and they chastised Ana Lutetia for not actually giving an opinion on her 'reviews'. I understand why Ana isn't giving opinions, the girl posts repeatedly every day, things that are submitted. What is she going to do, say "I love this...I love this...I love this..." to every post? Her word would then mean nothing.
My favourite blogs, are the ones who don't display a "critic" front. Come on, who out there is actually a critic? I haven't seen a "this dress is sh*t" post ( Not that I'm advising to do this)! Either say something substantial, or don't say anything at all, because in the case of a "the textures are just so beautiful...WOW" type of text, it most likely won't be read ( i.e picture skimmer post).
Anyhoo, the gist of this rant is this : Show me your outfit combos, your ACTUAL buys, or actually review things, for the love of buddha! I'm sick of only seeing 'NEW' things! Let's see what you've found in this huge...I mean huge...fashion community.

The importance of seeming unimportant
Sometimes in SL, I just feel like doing absolutely nothing. I'm seer ( did I seriously just say seer? Can you guess my age, dearies?), sometimes I just feel like sitting...and..well...doing sh*t all. People watch, you know? I don't have any cool people watching stories, sorry, cause most of the time I've got no clue what the heck they're saying....and they tend to use those weird crappy sounds...cue 'freaky laughter'...Okay, ANYWAY, I gotta look cool whilst doing absolutely nothing, right? Want to look indie? Wear a plaid shirt. BAM, you're indie. Oh, oh! And weird Kanye/Nu wave shades. Last year, you propably said these were ugly, and every Salvation Army was full of them. Now I can't find these freakin' things anywhere , cause' all those art students already got to em'. I mean, come on, leave the damn Wayfarer's for the rest of us, you've propably already got ten pairs! ....I digress... Anyhoo. I now declare today indie day! GO GETZ YER DANCE ON!

Windlight!
Hey! Hey! Lookit! WINDLIGHT! Okay, so I'm one of those fools who always looked at beautiful SL pics and thought they were simply photoshopped....after attempting to 'photoshop' some of my own pics, I always noticed the quality seemed different..i.e: not as good..And then BAM! Reading a few blogs, I realized people were taking these fantastic pics using windlight, duh!
To learn how to use it yourself, both Caliah Lyon (Soigne) and Iris Ophelia (Ophelia Drowns) have both recently posted some great how-to's.

Fight or Flight
Playing in Caledon...Pondering....Recently, I sent an I.M via Second Life to a very well known Blogista. I see her as a role model and an inspiration, and decided to let her know that her work had inspired me. This wasn't some creepo msg, people, I was merely saying that she rocked. Now, does this not deserve a "Thanks :)" or some sort of reply? I mean, I took the time to give her some damn praise, I think the least one could do is acknowledge the fact that they have "fans". Once you're at the top, do you completely forget that you were once at the bottom? That you once looked up to all those Elite? Needless to say, I have lost some respect for my once role model. I might be a little fishy, but I've got a long memory. PEACE!

Skin Within
One of my absolute FAV designers, Moanasyrene Boucher (best known for her incredibly detailed gowns and party frocks), has recently come out with a Skin line! These skins are so glam, and so out there gorgeous! I'm not a "blog by submission" blogger, I blog what I ACTUALLY like, and these skins are IT! I have to admit...I bought the Green eyeshadow one without even trying it on and thank god it looked absolutely fantastic. Oh, and did you notice the ever so subtle bit of lace above the right eye? How Nylon (the mag, not the sl store, peeps) is that! If you're a bit more adventurous, theres also a few skins with even more lace...kind of a bit Phantom of The Opera. Très Stella. So of course I had to go to Osaka and play a little outside Numery Mart, in Moana's very luxurious Temptation gown. I often like to go slumming in my very finest.

So, I'm a platform girl. Ballet flats, although I do wear them, just dont give me the same sexy confidence that platforms do. Not even the ever fabulous stilettos can compete with my platforms! And gosh, does Armidi ever make some gorgeous platforms! How to wear platform sandals in winter? Leggings, duh. Ever realise when you're wearing a skirt in the winter you can kind of block off all feeling to your legs , so you hardly feel the cold? No? Just me? Okay, anyways, check this sweater from Japanese shop Bare Rose.... HHHHAWWT.

So, for the next few days there will be no SL for moi. The mum summoned me home, to her country abode, where they own craptacular computers ( I'm an APPLE girl ), that cannot handle the beauties (err graphics) of SL. I MISSED NEW YEARS . Upset, I am ( and now speaking as Yoda). I had this fantastic outfit planned out, complete with G.L.A.M rocker white dress and Chapeau Très Mignon bouffant with massive golden egg! So I'm whining, whatever, but reading fashion blogs for the next few days is going to make me feel like an addict going through withdrawel. How do I even save pictures on this thing? (just kidding). I'm going to go play Solitaire and Hearts untill Thursday.
Woe is me.
